Die aus Dunfermline stammende Band wurde Ende der Siebziger- und Achtzigerjahre bekannt. Berühmt für ihre rohe Bühnenenergie, die sie durch monströse Gitarrenriffs zum Ausdruck bringen, sind The Skids ein wichtiger Bezugspunkt der Punk- und New Wave-Ära.
