Ordering, Shipping & Returns at House of Vinyl

We want buying from House of Vinyl to be straightforward. Here's everything you need to know about how we pack, ship, and handle orders — whether you're in the UK or ordering from overseas.

How to Order

Browse our store, add to cart, and checkout. We accept all major cards, PayPal, and Shop Pay. Stock is live and updated regularly — if it's showing as available, it's in stock. If you have a question about a specific record before buying, get in touch and we'll respond promptly.

Packaging

Records are packed carefully to arrive in the same condition they left us. We use rigid mailers and cardboard reinforcement for 12"s and LPs. We do not cut corners on packaging — a damaged record in transit is a problem for everyone, and we take it seriously.

UK Shipping

UK orders are dispatched via Royal Mail or a tracked courier service. Standard delivery typically takes 2–3 working days. Orders over £50 qualify for free UK shipping. Tracking information is provided once your order has been dispatched.

International Shipping

We ship worldwide. International orders are sent via tracked services — delivery times vary by destination but are typically 5–14 working days for Europe and 7–21 working days for the rest of the world.

Duties and taxes: International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees on arrival in your country. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in our shipping costs. EU orders may be subject to VAT at the point of import — we recommend checking your local regulations before ordering.

Returns & Cancellations

If your record arrives damaged or significantly not as described, contact us within 14 days of receipt and we will arrange a return and refund or replacement. EU customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason (the statutory right of withdrawal).

Records that have been played and are not faulty cannot be returned on the basis of personal preference. Please read our condition descriptions carefully before purchasing — if you have any doubts, ask us first.

Visits & Appointments

House of Vinyl operates by appointment only — we are not a walk-in shop. If you'd like to visit in person to browse or sell records, please contact us to arrange a time.
